He rolled suddenly so she rested on her back with him lying between her thighs. Lowering his head, he nuzzled his mouth against her ear, muttering a word that sounded like "baby" or "honey." She had a sudden flash of her dreamthree children with this man. She wanted himshe wanted this. But the other? She wasn't so sure. Her own version of panic threatened, and D.J.'s eyes snapped open. She grasped his upper arms, feeling the bunched muscles beneath the smooth skin. Curling her fingers into his flesh, she squeezed hard to get his attention. |

His mouth moved against her neck once more. Half kiss, half response. The muffled word floated toward her ear. "What?" |

Her unease with the situation left her babbling, though she was quite proud of herself for remembering to take care of such a matter in the heat of the moment. Maybe she wouldn't make such a bad '90s woman after all. |
